How FieldReport handles your data.
FieldReport is designed as a local-first app. Most report data stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it.
Effective date: April 12, 2026
Summary
FieldReport is a field reporting app for inspections and site visits. Project data, visits, findings, notes, photos, markup, and generated PDF reports are stored on your device unless you choose to export or share them.
At this time, FieldReport does not provide user accounts, cloud sync, advertising, third-party analytics, or a FieldReport-operated backend for storing your report data.
Information FieldReport can access
- Photos you capture with the camera for findings and reports
- Photos you import from your photo library
- Location data only when you enable GPS stamping for captured photos
- Subscription and purchase status through Apple’s in-app purchase systems
How information is used
- Creating projects, visits, findings, and report content
- Capturing, importing, and marking up photos
- Optionally stamping captured photos with GPS information
- Generating PDF reports on your device
- Determining whether premium export features are unlocked
Data storage
FieldReport stores app data locally on your device using Apple system frameworks. This may include project and visit information, findings and notes, photo files and markup, generated PDF exports, and workspace settings such as branding and report defaults.
FieldReport does not currently send this report content to a FieldReport-operated server.
Purchases and subscriptions
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. FieldReport receives subscription entitlement information needed to determine whether premium export features are unlocked. FieldReport does not receive your full payment card details.
For more information about how Apple handles purchase information, please review Apple’s privacy policy.
Sharing and exports
When you choose to export or share a PDF report, the report file is made available through Apple system sharing features. Any sharing you initiate is under your control.
Analytics, tracking, and advertising
FieldReport does not currently use:
- third-party analytics SDKs
- advertising SDKs
- cross-app tracking
- a custom remote telemetry or profiling service for user report data
FieldReport does not use app activity for third-party advertising or tracking.
Data retention and deletion
Because FieldReport is currently local-first, your data generally remains on your device until you delete it.
You can remove your data by:
- deleting projects, visits, findings, photos, or exported reports within the app where supported
- deleting the app from your device, subject to Apple’s platform behavior
Children
FieldReport is not directed to children.
International use
If you use FieldReport outside your home country, your information may still be handled primarily on your device and through Apple platform services you choose to use.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as FieldReport evolves. If material changes are made, the updated policy will be reflected by a revised effective date.
